    Decent landlord, okay apartments

    Pros:
    Very responsive landlord. Made some improvements to the apartment.
    Cons:
    Very loud neighbors, dirty hall, apartments are narrow and awkward. Neighbors use the basement as an extra living room.

    Keep things clean and tidy. Keep the apartments in better condition.

    No one cares about the building, super gross, pests, mice, loud outside.

    It had a yard and price was cheap enough.
    Cons:
    The Super lives upstairs. He and his family make a lot of noise. They also use the basement as their hangout spot. Other tenants in the building shout and stomp throughout the stairs especially early in the morning. Loud music at all times of day. They threw garbage in the yard. I caught their kids stealing and breaking the lightbulbs for the outdoor lighting we installed.

    But the worst by far is the Supers dog, or rather their treatment of the poor thing. It is neglected and poorly treated forced to spend all of its time in the basement. They don’t even take it for walks. They just clean up after it down there, when they feel like it. I wanted to call the aspca but I couldn’t figure out how to do it without the super knowing it was me. He was highly confrontational and got in my face more than once.
    Advice to owner:
    Fire the Super and get someone who won’t attack your tenants.
