Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 282 Himrod Street point to spacious apartments with attractive exposed brick as a highlight. The location is considered good and neighbors are generally friendly. However, many tenants report poor cleanliness and maintenance, including persistent pest problems, leaky ceilings, and garbage left unattended in common areas and the backyard. Heating and water pressure receive mixed feedback, but overall building upkeep is lacking. Management and owner responsiveness are consistently described as slow or unhelpful, leading to frustration. Rent stabilization is not offered. While the building shows potential, significant improvements in management, cleanliness, and pest control are needed to enhance livability.

Would not recommend this place, seriously
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious, has potential at face value. Exposed brick is nice.
Cons:
Had an experience with leaks in the ceilings that was happening for over a month until things got fixed. Even then there was a ton of resistance on getting this fixed. Lots of bugs in unit, we’ve caught 4 mice, exterior hallway is in poor shape.

Unresponsive, unkempt, old building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, third floor unit has no pest issues
Cons:
Downstairs neighbors have pest issues, building is extremely dirty, garbage area is sometimes left outside longer than it should be. Landlord/super (same person I think) extremely unresponsive. Backyard of property is full of garbage
