Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 130 Diamond Street in Brooklyn highlight spacious units with appealing features like elevators into units, private decks, back porches, and rooftop access. Tenants consistently praise the friendly neighbors, quiet environment, and well-managed garbage services. However, management responsiveness is mixed, often slow or inconsistent, with some reporting inadequate repairs focused only on unit turnover rather than ongoing maintenance. Rent prices are considered high relative to amenities, and calls for better communication and regular property upkeep are common. Despite these issues, many recommend the building for its location, unit size, and community atmosphere, valuing the overall living experience.

Pros and cons
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious units, elevator into units, friendly building.
Cons:
Frequent issues with things breaking in the units, leaks, etc. Landlords are responsive when it’s a critical issue but not consistently. Very expensive rent for minimal amenities.

Ridiculous rent for terrible landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are great. But that’s pretty much the only thing that my money isn’t going towards. And management doesn’t care, they keep pushing out good renters
Cons:
Landlord never responds to service requests and when they do receive a response they are fixed with a bandaid that often breaks days later and is never fixed. They seem to only care about making meaningful changes on units they’ve pushed renters out of so they can charge new renters a ridiculous amount. They will raise your rent by 20% and would by 100% if someone would pay it.
Advice to owner:
I don’t know. Be a person who cares about your renters livelihood and values having consistent renters instead of just looking for the highest bidder.
