Horrible landlords

Pros:
Nice location, close to public transport and activities. Decent sized rooms.
Cons:
Owners are horrible, unresponsive and liars who underpay all the workers who help maintain the building. There is a bug problem due to lack of maintenance and sanitation. Owners will blatantly lie to hide their inaction.
Building was out of code and had a fire. We discovered there were no fire alarms, and no extinguishers in the building. Maggots are commonly seen in the trash area.
Generally sleepy people with little if any morals. Heat was said to be included, but that was a lie as well. There was not heat for 2 months during heat season. It is an unsafe building with locks that don’t always lock and it is it secure.
Advice to owner:
Grow a conscious, your god sees you. Stop lying, honor the contract you provided and invest in the property,

Mold, water damage, and unresponsive management

Pros:
Cheap rent, convenient location, spacious apartments
Cons:
My apartment had lots of unchecked water damage and leaks which led to mold that was never properly repaired. It took months and rent withholding to get even the bare minimum done. The hot water went out every time it rained very hard, and was once out for over a week.

Pros:
The location is amazing, lots of light and packages get left inside. I’ve never had anything stolen.
Cons:
So many Rats, The restaurant downstairs should have a Z rating. One time they secretly fumigated the restaurant downstairs forcing all the rats upstairs. I think I saw almost 20 rats in my apartment that day. I found droppings on my bed and my desk.
