Starts off nice, then becomes a disaster
Former Tenant
Pros:
Enough Outlets in every bedroom
Cons:
Way too cold, plus an annoying Mother N Law type of LandLady. Says one thing then changes her mind, plus tells you how to arrange and throw out your belongings when that's not what you're paying for. She wasn't happy that I had pets, but fortunately put up with it. Only wanted a Lease on paper for the 1st year. But not afterwards. Raised the rent after 2 years to an extra $200 a month, followed by another $100. Rent became $1700/month to $2000/month within 5yrs. Wanted us to pay rent for the extra days it took us to clean after moving out, wasn't happy with how we left it. Complained that the walls were scratched when we never demanded that they be painted every 3 yrs as required. Plus, she claimed she wanted us out due to planning renovations, so nothing we did mattered anyway, but she insisted that it be so clean that everything glistened. As a result, the security deposit wasn't returned, since we didn't have time to clean, pay her rent to clean ourselves or a cleaning service and work our jobs at the same time. So we gave up.
Advice to owner:
Needs a nicer approach and bedside manner. As a Nurse, it should already be embedded.
