Overall, good spot to be

Pros:
Well-maintained building. Great roof, gym and laundry in building. Location can’t be beat in Bushwick. Just steps to everywhere you want to go. Train is a short walk away.
Cons:
Depending on the unit you’re in, some have been converted to have additional bedrooms some of which might be too small to comply with city housing codes.

The building was nice when I moved in
Cons:
- Building management will do everything up to and including breaking state law to avoid returning your security deposit - Maintenance requests go unanswered for days at a time regardless of urgency, and even then often only when prompted multiple times - General building upkeep is poor. Common areas have broken door handles for months at a time, the rooftop area is not kept orderly, and the elevator breaks down regularly. Washers and dryers went down and were not repaired for over a year
Advice to owner:
Get out of the property ownership business

Pros:
The unit itself is nice for the most part. Once they fixed the package theft problem the new super is diligent about getting them to our door.
Cons:
The mural inside is hideous. Landlords want to raise rent $1k - after already raising it $500 the previous year. The doors into the building off of the garage are always broken. People play the piano in the lobby at odd hours. Rather than install a package security solution. Management is new.
Advice to owner:
Don’t boot hood tenants We keep the neighborhood one that help make this a safe place to live

Good and bad

Pros:
Management is surprisingly responsive. Buildings janitor (mr. Raul) is the sweetest .
Cons:
- the tenants , I want to say that 80% of the tenants that live there are only there for a good time and for bushwicks party scene, they don’t have any ties to the community, don’t care about leaving the common areas clean (especially after parties) the roof is always a mess on Sundays. -The superintendent will find a way to gaslight you, especially if you’re a woman asking for something to be repaired. He gets things done but always with an undermining attitude. - the weight rack at the gym has weights missing that have been missing for a long time.
