An Astoria Gem

Pros:
- RENT STABILIZED BUILDING
- Really friendly landlord and supers and neighbors
- safe neighborhood
- landlords Fairly responsive to concerns
- Elevator building.
- Garbage chute.
- 2 blocks from subway and half a block from 30th ave, one of the most bustling streets in Astoria.
- Key Foods, Rite Aid, laundry, fresh produce market, breakfast cafes, late night pizza ALL half a block to a block away
Cons:
- Pre war building so dated lobby and rooms (but i personally consider it charming)
- Ground floor often smells like cigarettes because there’s a chain smoker in one of those apartments
- Packages have been sometimes getting stolen but I don’t know how much of that should fall on the building and how much is just that we have a neighborhood thief.
- there are two entrances which can sometimes confuse food delivery drivers. Only one of them is buzzable

Great location. Super on site. Garbage and recycling taken care of daily

Needs updates, have to go to physically speak to super - no phone calls/texts, no laundry in building.

Super was so responsive and helpful. The mailboxes and package delivery was secure and organized.
Cons:
The walls are very thin. A lot of times, I had trouble sleeping.
