Review Summary for 109-25 Merrick Boulevard
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for 109-25 Merrick Boulevard reveals serious challenges with cleanliness, pest control, and security. Residents report pervasive rodent and roach infestations, filthy common areas, and garbage accumulation causing foul odors. Building management and owner responsiveness are widely criticized as inadequate, with maintenance issues like broken elevators, heating problems, and water interruptions frequently cited. Although rent includes gas and electric and unit sizes are appreciated, lack of security measures, nonfunctional cameras, and homeless intrusions deteriorate living conditions. Proximity to transportation is a noted advantage, but overall, renters urge thorough management improvements, enhanced maintenance, and stricter building oversight to ensure safer, cleaner living environments.

The owner should tear the buildings down
Former Tenant
Pros:
Gas and electric included
Cons:
The building is dirty people don’t care people shit piss in the hallways sleep on the roof rats roaches throughout the building the owners lives in Florida, so he doesn't know what's really going on in the building the cameras don't work the SUPER tries his best, but the people living in the building cause some of the problems mostly it's people who don't live in the building they come in and do this stuff then leave
Advice to owner:
Have the owner of the building manager, New York City buildings department come in and go through the whole building apartment by apartment and check everything
