Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for NAPCO REALTY LTD. managed buildings reflects a mix of positives and challenges. While some tenants commend the buildings' character, spacious layouts, and certain well-maintained common areas, issues with pest control, garbage management, and water pressure are frequent. Heat quality and noise levels vary, with some complaints about uncontrollable radiators and loud neighbors. Responsiveness from management shows inconsistency—some find communication timely, others face delays and neglect in repairs. Safety concerns have been raised due to problem tenants. Overall, expect older buildings needing attention, with management that can be either approachable or difficult to reach depending on location.

Great building, ruined by 1 scary tenant
Former Tenant
Pros:
8612 8624 and 8602 are the same bldg. The building is clean. Regular pest control, no roaches in the units or basement. Laundry is sub par but available. Nice looking and well maintained lawn and property. Good location, responsive and kind management agency.
Cons:
Everything that’s great about this building is ruined by one terrifying tenant who they can’t seem to evict. This tenant hangs out in the front with his 3-5 unleashed pitbulls that he breeds in the apt. Harasses (physically and verbally) tenants, especially women. Dogs destroy the manicured lawn that everyone pays into.
Advice to owner:
Keep tenants safer

Don’t do it
Former Tenant
Pros:
The courtyard outside is nice and thank God no rodents.
Cons:
The owner and property management and heartless slumlords, too busy buying up NYC and paying off politicians to even answer your calls. Takes them months and several calls and letters to get one response that is usually to go kick rocks. the super is 80 and can’t speak English, the floors feel like they could cave in, and they’re all railroad apartments.

Impossible to contact management but love the neighborhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love the neighborhood, love the people in the building. Great apartment!
Cons:
Advertised to have washer dryer in basement but the dryer has been broken for months. Heat is uncontrollable, the radiator spurts and leaks. Garbage area is gross and rat infested. Management never fixes anything.

Nothing gets done
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors and the area are nice and close to the train.
Cons:
It's a very old building. It takes forever for any real repairs to get done. I've waited months for repairs to be finished. To the point of having to report to the city for repairs to start. There is a constant blame game between the owners, super, and management company as to why. there is also a really annoying traffic. Light outside that beeps all through the night.
Advice to owner:
Sell it

Needs a lot of TLC
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has character, open spaces, and a good heating system
Cons:
Has a problem with roaches, super isn’t as available as in other buildings, the building needs a facelift, not just paint over it, some of the windows can stay open, and the electrical is outdated
