Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for buildings managed by Howard Lifshitz reveal a mixed experience. Tenants often find the apartments decent and appreciate responsive management, particularly at some buildings with effective heating andgood water pressure. However, recurring issues such as pest infestations, particularly rats and roaches, persist. Garbage management and package theft are common concerns, impacting residents' sense of safety. Some renters note inconsistent responsiveness from the management and express frustration with maintenance delays. Noise levels and neighbor quality vary by location, as does satisfaction with rent increases. Overall, expect attentive management with room for improvement in pest control, security, and communication.

Solid place but has its issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good area. Never any issues with heating/cooling. Pretty nice rooms. Friendly neighbors.
Cons:
Water never really gets very hot - often the hottest setting on the shower is modestly warm. Electricity wiring isn’t great in one of the rooms and I had to rejigger the lamp shade/spin it around to get the lights to turn even with brand new lightbulbs. Garbage outside is a small area for 2 buildings that occasionally piles up. Raised my rent in a 1 bed room 58% from 2021 to 2022.
