Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews of buildings managed by Allison Anderson reveal a mix of positive and negative experiences. Several tenants praise spacious units, quiet neighbors, and rent-stabilized apartments with responsive live-in supers. Notable positives include well-maintained courtyards and decent heat in winter. However, many reviews reveal ongoing issues with pest infestations (mice, roaches, bedbugs), poor garbage management, and inconsistent heat or water service. Management responsiveness appears inconsistent—some tenants highlight slow or non-responsive management and unresolved maintenance problems, including elevator breakdowns and water damage. Overall, while some buildings offer solid living conditions, prospective renters should expect variable management attentiveness and persistent infrastructure and pest control challenges.

Nice, quiet building

Pros

Usually pretty quiet, rent stabilized unit, laundry in basement, elevator, live-in super who was very responsive, no issues with mice/bugs.

Cons

No crazy updated amenities, the brick was painted over which was criminal in my opinion

Anywhere but Parkoff/New Park Management

Pros

Just do yourself a favor and look up “Parkoff Management Co”. You’ll find out all you need to know. Long time neighbors are nice and help one another out (when management leaves you out to dry)

Cons

EDIT: UNREPORTED AND UNABATED BEDBUG INFESTATION AS OF MAY 2026. To no one’s surprise; management is sweeping this under the rug. You can find the reports on HPDOnline.gov. Unpaid ConEd bills with blackouts in shared common areas, elevator not working for weeks on end, asbestos in basement, packages stolen, NO WATER FOR DAYS. No responses from management. They are being sued by the State of NY for renter discrimination on top of it.

Where is our rent money going? If not to all of these issues?
