responsive owner, good value.

Pros:
good value, owner is responsive if anything needs attention.
Cons:
it's an older building, things break, pests happen.

Pros:
In front of the park, lovely views in the Summer! Right above a dumpling shop, which was always serving the best dumplings and soup. It is near every single train line possible, and great position near Tribeca, FiDi and the rest of Chinatown.
Cons:
Rats everywhere. Not in the apartment, but in the streets! Also, the bar downstairs stopped respecting quiet hours after a while.
Advice to owner:
Renewing the building would be nice - mainly the bathroom and the stairs!

Great for the Price & Location

Pros:
- Good location: across from park and near soho, LES, tribeca
- recently (recent being relative) renovated
- landlord’s responsive and very chill. Getting deposit back was pain-free and any time there were problems (e.g. bathroom leak), things were attended to promptly
Cons:
- dingy hallways and stairs
- no buzzer
- shower pipes from upstairs leaked multiple times
- lower floor had an erratic tenant
- street noise can get disruptive at 1am/midnight from construction
