Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews depict buildings managed by Joel Reich as featuring attractive architectural elements like high ceilings, exposed brick, and desirable amenities such as gyms and rooftop spaces. However, managementresponsiveness is consistently criticized, with reports of slow or ineffective communication and delayed maintenance, particularly regarding heating and pest control. Tenants experience issues like poor insulation, noise disturbances from neighbors, and occasional mold and pest problems. Garbage management and cleanliness receive mixed feedback. While some appreciate the location and layout, many advise improvements in upkeep and quicker landlord action to enhance living conditions, indicating room for better management and tenant support.

Overpriced, not worth it
Former Tenant
Pros:
There's laundry downstairs and a little fitness room that barely anyone uses.
Cons:
Management is not responsive unless its regarding rent/lease. Have had pest issues despite being extremely clean, and water turned off for hours without notice. It's a pricey neighborhood but it feels like an absurd amount to be paying to live in a dusty box with high ceilings.

Nice vibes, loud neighbors, ineffective landlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice loft apartments, high ceilings, nice windows
Cons:
Insulation poor, cold winters especially with units with many windows. A/c units for heating instead of a radiator so it can get cold and dry. Landlord very unresponsive with fixing things. Neighbors are super loud and playing music / having parties very often
Advice to owner:
Better insulation for windows, be more responsive with fixing the apartment

Do not live here under any conditions
Former Tenant
Pros:
Exposed brick and low prices
Cons:
Mold infested, unresponsive landlord, roaches - do not touch this place with a ten foot pole. You will lose your deposit any way you cut it. Sometimes it really is too good to be true.
