Lived here for 2 years with no issue!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Tall ceilings, below market rent, responsive management team
Cons:
Pre-war building means some quirks, my apartment floor is pretty slanted

Good apartment for singles, couples, roomates
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, right on 5th Ave of Park Slope. Access to all the neighborhood restaurants, bars, groceries. Close to Atlatic Avenue subway station, easy to travel anywhere.
Cons:
Because the bedroom is facing the 5th Ave, it can get loud sometimes due to street noise.

Overall Pleasant Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet area, close to the F/G and no major problems with the apartment.
Cons:
The road is sometimes busy and walls are a bit thin.

terrible landlord! look up his legal history before you move in
Former Tenant
Pros:
nice sized kitchen for a studio; high ceilings and good windows
Cons:
front door lock of the building broke and owner took no responsibility to repair. i had hundreds of dollars worth of packages stolen over several months and his response was to blame de blasio for crime (eric adams was already mayor by then). he eventually had the super tape a sign to the front door warning tenants to not buzz in strangers... never mind that strangers could just shove the door open and steal your mail.

also they changed the locks a day before our official move-out date and let the new tenant move in early. we had mostly moved out but still had things there that they shoved into a closet. almost killed my plant.
Advice to owner:
fix the front door lock

Park Slope Party
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Neighbords in the building are friendly
- Incredibly responsive super
- Very large apartment for price we pay
- Windows at front and back of our unit so natural light all day
Cons:
- Recycling/package area downstairs can get crazy
- Old building - floors are old/uneven in our apartment
Advice to owner:
Keep prices low and keep Park Slope affordable and accessible to all

Great old building except for the very occasional roach
Former Tenant
Pros:
- amazing responsive super
- very quiet at night
- clean (though old)
- dream location
Cons:
- constant package theft
- unit floors are incredibly crooked
- old so stuff breaks often (shower, leaks, closet doors, door buzzer, front door knob) but fixed immediately always
- I found about 3-4 massive errant roaches (some dead some living) the size of my head in my unit in the summer months and occasionally dead bodies all over the foyer and stairwells, certainly not the worst for NYC but still sucks if you have a phobia.
Advice to owner:
Figure out the massive flying roach situation. No one wants to pay thousands of dollars a month and see these.

Old but charming
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great heat, great light from the back windows
Cons:
Very small bedrooms, neighbors with loud kids
Advice to owner:
Lots of clutter in the front yard

Former tenant - Avoid this Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Centrally located to bars and shops
Cons:
1) heat is NEVER on. Constantly had to call super
2) way overpriced for a studio - entire building is comprised of studios
3) the management company Airbnb’s the building constantly. I moved because the Airbnb rentals were loud, rowdy and potentially dangerous
4) DO NOT EXPECT YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK!!!
Advice to owner:
You still have some awesome Tenant’s left in the building. You need to offer them some sort of compensation so they don’t go through with the lawsuit they are planning

Decent building to live in
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartment is relatively well maintained, super is responsive
Cons:
Hot water takes a while to get hot
Decent building, nice area
Former Tenant
Pros:
No pest problems, apartment was in good shape
Cons:
Some noise in hallways, walls are thin.

So far so good
Former Tenant
Pros:
Everything is in good shape for an older building. Kitchen has been updated and cabinets are good quality. Bathroom is older but fine and functional. I’m on the top floor but don’t hear my neighbors or street at all. Management company has been responsive requests. Super is great.
Cons:
On the top floor and the water pressure sucks and it’s hard to control the temp.

Was great until our apt flooded
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is phenomenal
Cons:
Our apartment flooded and management was completely unresponsive during the critical first few days after the flood. We were completely on our own. Thankfully they let us out of our lease but still have not started construction and I’m not confident they will do what’s needed (restoration, repair, etc).
Advice to owner:
Please properly restore and repair the units affected by the floods.

Interesting place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
I like the location of the building. The water pressure is great.
Cons:
They could really use an HVAC cleaning. The bathroom exhaust fan is so full of grossness it doesn’t work. We struggled with massive humidity issues in the building. Seriously I always felt like my stuff was damp. Slow response time from the super. Because of the dampness you will have a bug issue.
Advice to owner:
Clean your space. Upgrade some of the grossness.

Excellent super!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Responsive management team, security deposit refunded in timely manner, super is incredible and very responsive—that was the best part of living there.fire safety seems good—accessible fire escape on both sides of building. Unit was re-painted and re-grouted before move-in which was nice.
Cons:
Raised rent upon lease renewal (though by a reasonable amount), smoking ban not enforced, building lobby not in great condition, multiple agents trying to do showings upon move out and then telling us to ignore the other agents...not sure if the building is responsible for this or not. Heat was a bit extreme and apparently can’t be adjusted unit to unit so you have to open windows a lot through the winter. the Side facing 5th Ave can be quite noisy. We did have mice issues despite being clean tenants.
Advice to owner:
The super here is fantastic!
