Reviews

Great building! Lovely management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management was incredibly kind and (c) openigloo gracious and fixed issues quickly.
Cons:
Half of the building is (c) openigloo north facing and surrounded by (c) openigloo other buildings, so it gets (c) openigloo less light.
Advice to owner:
None!
Good co op building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Weekly extermination and nice staff
Cons:
Can be noisy
Great building in convenient location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenient to lots of subways; (c) openigloo great reception team (good package (c) openigloo management system that alerts you (c) openigloo when your package arrives; wash (c) openigloo and fold, etc.); Trader Joe’s (c) openigloo just across the street; trash (c) openigloo on every floor; patio access; (c) openigloo great water pressure; central heating.
Cons:
Fitness room could be better (c) openigloo equipped/have more equipment… but on (c) openigloo the plus side, it was (c) openigloo always empty when I went! (c) openigloo Unfortunately can be loud as (c) openigloo it’s located near the fire (c) openigloo department, and emergency vehicles more (c) openigloo generally can get backed up (c) openigloo trying to cross the bridge (c) openigloo and you have to listen (c) openigloo to the alarm for like (c) openigloo five minutes while people refuse (c) openigloo to move.
Overall nice building, a bit old
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great doormen Great laundry room Safe Location is (c) openigloo good (for some)
Cons:
Water pressure is not great Old (c) openigloo building Can be loud depending on (c) openigloo your floor
Well-maintained luxury building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building was well-maintained, had (c) openigloo a clean lobby with a (c) openigloo doorman to accept packages, a (c) openigloo functioning laundry room, trash chutes (c) openigloo on every floor, heating/AC (in (c) openigloo my unit at least), and (c) openigloo access to two rooftop balconies. (c) openigloo I also never had any (c) openigloo problem with pests for six (c) openigloo months of living here.
Cons:
The walls for each unit (c) openigloo are very thin; I could (c) openigloo hear my neighbors when they (c) openigloo played music and sometimes loud (c) openigloo conversations. Since it’s midtown, the (c) openigloo sounds of the city (alarms, (c) openigloo loud music, cars honking/engines revving) (c) openigloo are not super muffled, so (c) openigloo important to note if you (c) openigloo aren’t able to tune it (c) openigloo out.
West Village Home
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, great building management (c) openigloo staff,
Cons:
Weird smells, pipe issues, loud (c) openigloo upstairs neighbor.
Excellent building, staff, and location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, one block away (c) openigloo from the park and near (c) openigloo major commerce. The building staff (c) openigloo is top notch, and will (c) openigloo go out of their way (c) openigloo to aid the residents. Finally, (c) openigloo the building is very tastefully (c) openigloo decorated, with wood paneling in (c) openigloo the lobby/elevators and marble entrance (c) openigloo floors.
Cons:
Building garden is largely unusable (c) openigloo - loud AC vents make (c) openigloo it too noisy to use (c) openigloo in the summer, too cold (c) openigloo in the winter. The building’s (c) openigloo location on the corner of (c) openigloo Columbus Avenue also attracts some (c) openigloo noise, mainly ambulances and truck (c) openigloo driving down the street.
Great Building all around
Former Tenant
Pros:
Everyone working in the building (c) openigloo is very professional. The Neighbors (c) openigloo are great in general.
Cons:
The common areas were closed (c) openigloo for years because of a (c) openigloo fire, but they have now (c) openigloo reopened.
Advice to owner:
Horrible building -avoid
Former Tenant
Pros:
Water pressure is decent
Cons:
Building staff is horrible, super (c) openigloo allows his kids items to (c) openigloo be left all over the (c) openigloo lobby and the basement (c) openigloo and is non responsive. Problems (c) openigloo don’t get fixed they get (c) openigloo bandaids and reoccur constantly. Huge (c) openigloo rat problems in the basement (c) openigloo and the heat is not (c) openigloo consistent. Tenants smoke cigarettes in (c) openigloo building so halls smell of (c) openigloo smoke. Handy man is far (c) openigloo from handy, taking money shadily (c) openigloo from tenants for jobs he (c) openigloo says he can do which (c) openigloo are not done. He also (c) openigloo is allowed to squat in (c) openigloo a vacant apartment
Advice to owner:
Fire the super Tim
Not a great place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Across the street from a (c) openigloo strip of stores and restaurants
Cons:
This is not an ideal (c) openigloo living situation. BRG management is (c) openigloo horrible. They are not responsive (c) openigloo and ignore calls and emails. (c) openigloo They do not reinforce carpeting (c) openigloo requirements making it impossible to (c) openigloo get adequate sleep due to (c) openigloo banging above that constantly shakes (c) openigloo the whole apartment. The walls (c) openigloo and floors are extremely thin (c) openigloo so everything can be heard (c) openigloo day and night. There are (c) openigloo roaches and rats that come (c) openigloo through the radiators. Not at (c) openigloo all an ideal living situation
Advice to owner:
Don’t ignore tenants
