Not the best
Former Tenant
Pros:
- elevator works
- my unit has new appliances
- spacious apartment
Cons:
- exterminator needs to come regularly
- laundry room is very outdated
- overall it’s an old building that needs renovating

Expect no heat , Rapid rent increase , bait and switch .
Former Tenant
Pros:
Relatively safe, thick walls.
Cons:
They don't care about heat and providing hot water , they prefer to pay violation tickets.
Advice to owner:
I know you don't care , so it what it is until someone takes you to the court.

Cute and Simple
Former Tenant
Pros:
new renovated, nice layout, price
Cons:
windows and lighting
No heat. Dress in ski gear during the winter.
Former Tenant
Pros:
2 minute walk to subway.
Cons:
Lack of heat is the biggest issue. Get ready to freeze. Repairs are not done properly. Owner needs to stop renting apartments to double digit families. Roaches out of control.
Advice to owner:
Give heat.

Nice & Quiet
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are friendly and respectful, it’s in a quiet neighborhood, and the Super is fast to respond to messages, but it takes awhile for him to do anything about it.
Cons:
New intercom system not working

Don't Rent Here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are really nice and pretty close to the train, shops, etc
Cons:
-huge roach problem. The entire building is infested. Reported to management and the super and nothing is being done besides regular monthly exterminator visits that aren't working. They also have been telling tenants 10 to 12 for exterminator visits but he often comes way earlier than 10am.
-the common areas are filthy. You'll see a lot of dead bugs in the lobby and in the common areas. There are also dust and piles of dirt in the corners especially in the elevator
-the walls are definitely thin. The upstairs person stops really loudly and drops things and it sounds like it's in my apartment
-the disabled entrance is by the garbage that doesn't seem to be taken out very often and adds to the pest problem (I've seem both bugs and rats there). I help elders go up and down the stairs than letting them use the disabled entrance
-the garbage shoot is covered in roaches
-it is extremely hot all year around. In the winter the heat makes the apartment go up to around 96 degrees. Opening the window really doesn't help much either. I've turned off all ventilators and heat still comes through them and makes it unbearably hot even with all the windows open
-some if my windows can't open at all.
-the water pressure is really light and it takes a long time for the toilets to flush after you flush once. The building hired a plumber to look at it who just said that's how toilets are, which is obviously not true.
-the stove has a STRONG smell of gas every time you turn it on

I don't recommend renting here
Advice to owner:
- clearly the super isn't able to care for the building. Get someone or people who can keep it clean.
- take the roach problem seriously. There should be serious efforts taken to make sure people aren't exposed to this health risk. Communicate those efforts to your tenants
- be clear about your pet policy. Your realtor is telling people that they can have pets for a pet fee, but it is not at all stated on the lease and it doesn't seem like the super is aware of this as well

Old Building, many units, roaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
There is a lot of space
South facing bedroom gets wonderful sunlight in winter
Many spots to eat around
Near train station
Cons:
Old building with severe roach issues, once saw roaches falling out of elevator door when I opened it
Basement laundromat is sometimes very dirty and basically unusable, with many roaches around them
Common area has strong smell
Door bell sometimes doesn’t work and people end up getting trapped inside and can’t get out
Package theft throughout the stay, thief broke doorbell and stole packages, never fixed this problem
Potentially also have bed bug issues
Advice to owner:
Cleanliness and better pest control
Unbelievable amount of cockroaches in the building and inside the apartment no matter how clean it is

You get what you pay for, but it’s a good neighborhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the train, malls, Costco. Good for families.
Cons:
Major cockroach problem the last 2 years. Super is non responsive. Walls are thin. Elevator breaks often. Garbage management issue causing massive fly infestation
Advice to owner:
Garage management needs a better system

5 years later and it’s time to go
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building served me well for my first city apartment. There is an elevator and laundry in the building. Hot water is okay.
Cons:
Poor garbage management lead to a constant cockroach infestation. The parking cost $350/month. The lobby and laundry room and filthy. In the fall and winter months, the heat is either incredible high, causing the apartment to be 86 degrees, or not on at all, and you are frozen. Management rarely responds to any service issues. The super is incredibly lazy and I’m pretty sure his family has a monopoly on apartments in the building.
Advice to owner:
Get a new super, someone who will manage the building!

Affordable apartment with pest problems
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great super
Quite(except the bar across the street) and safe neighborhood
Affordable
Cons:
Some pests(roaches, mouse)
Radiator can be super noisy
Bar across the street disrupts your sleep
Advice to owner:
They are trying to solve pest problems, but considering the building's built year, I can't complain

Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent is reasonable
Cons:
Not very clean
Advice to owner:
None

Garbage Everywhere You Look
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to subway, and restaurants.
Cons:
The lobby and grounds aren’t maintained (unless you enjoy looking at trash), the mailboxes don’t properly lock, we have package thieves, the elevators are disgusting, there are roaches/ants in common areas (laundry room, elevators, lobby), the lobby door is broken and beeps all night, kids run all over the lobby, hot water is hit or miss, and the neighbors are loud af.
Advice to owner:
Please maintain the property better. These apartments are almost $2,000 a month, but everything else looks like a rundown motel.

Kyle Unger 973-826-9481
Former Tenant
Pros:
Run don’t rent here.
Cons:
The building is in a horrible shape. The building manager Kyle Unger is very unprofessional and nasty person. Never fulfills repairs as tenants request. This is why the building has so many violations. The lobby door is always broken. Most of the time has no heat. People are always getting stuck in the elevator for hours. The building has no superintendent.
Advice to owner:
You’re terrible people. I will be taking you to court.
