Review Summary for Hph Trio, LLC
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant experiences with HPH TRIO, LLC properties are mixed. Many appreciate the renovated units featuring washers/dryers, upgraded kitchens, and well-managed cleanliness. Neighbor relationships tend to be positive, and security measures like virtual doormen are valued. However, consistent issues arise around heating systems—with some residents facing untimely or inadequate heat—and occasional pest problems, especially rats and mice, in certain buildings. Management responsiveness is often cited as slow or inconsistent, causing frustration, particularly during urgent repairs or major problems. Noise can also be a factor in some locations. Overall, expect decent facility upgrades balanced with occasional management and maintenance challenges.

Nicely renovated with W/D
Former Tenant
Pros:
All the renovated units had washer dryers and upgraded kitchens.
Cons:
The heat was either not on in time for the season or sweltering hot and had to open windows.
Advice to owner:
Upgrade the radiators so we can atleast turn them off

3 bedroom apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
I feel very safe and happy living in this building. I’ve never had an issue with neighbors, the super is pretty responsive to issues, and the building is secure. The bathroom and kitchen are nicely renovated and the closets are a great size.
Cons:
We have had a few mouse sightings as well as an adolescent cockroach here and there but it seems pretty well managed and the super is on top of mitigating those problems.

Definitely not the worst building in NYC but absolutely not the best either
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Receives good light
- Nice neighbors
- Washer Dryer/ In Unit
- Nice and Spacious Layouts
- Renovated Bathrooms
Cons:
- Heat does NOT work
- Constant Package Thieves
- Mice / Roach problem
- Owner Unresponsive and not Accommodating
- Unsafe Area
- Directly beside a hospital so very loud
- Terrible Water Pressure
Advice to owner:
I would never recommend someone live here with How much we had to battle to get heat and were only given space heaters for a week and then had it taken away. It left a very sour taste in my mouth along with other things that occurred in the building.

Not that great
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doorbell video system
Cons:
Super is weak and unresponsive

Decent living experience!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Once this building got bought out by the new management, things got so much better! They are responsive and get things done. The super is great and the apartments are fairly clean. The neighbors are nice and for the most part everyone is friendly but mind their business.
Cons:
If you don’t live on the 5th floor, you will hear the music from the venue on the first floor. I didn’t have a problem with it though. Some one bedroom apartments were converted into 2 bedrooms so one bedroom will be significantly smaller than the other.

Cons:

Great building, just pray there’s never a major problem...
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are clean, not a bug in sight. The trash is managed well. I love the virtual doorman “doorbell”. Laundry in unit!! Can’t hear the neighbors unless they are in the halls.
Cons:
Whenever there is a major problem the management seems to disappear. They also seem to be under the impression that I as the tenant operate on their schedule. They don’t like to check with you in advance if something needs to be done to your unit. For example I got a call 5 mins before the super showed up for something that “had to be done that day” (it didn’t in fact have to be done that day). Also don’t expect repairs to happen quickly.
Advice to owner:
Don’t act so put out when the tenants ask for something. We’re paying you thousands of dollars the least you could do is be a little more attentive to issues
