HUGE Apartment BUT...
Former Tenant
Pros:
- HUGE Apartment
- Great neighbors
- Not much noise
- Great neighborhood
Cons:
- Bathroom ceiling collapsed. BLACK MOLD due to lack of attentiveness and willingness to properly fix leaking water. We had to file a report with the city to get anything fixed which didn't start being fixed until the lease was almost up.
- LOUD Vibrating plumbing that sounds like jack hammers.
- Unresponsive management
Advice to owner:
Take your tenants seriously when they say there are issues, actually fix them properly and in doing so ensure the health and safety of your tenants.

Awful Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to trains. Large apartments
Cons:
Landlord does not solve most issues. Management is highly unprofessional and very often responds to emails with a sassy tone. Laundry room constantly in disrepair. Packages get stolen daily and yet management has shown no interest in working with tenants to solve the issue.
Advice to owner:
Fix the package stealing.

Building is GREAT, Management/Ownership is Mediocre.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are large. The neighborhood is usually fairly quiet. Close to the trains.
Cons:
The management company is often unresponsive. And it takes a lot of coaxing to get them to bring things up with ownership. Management company seems care way more about money and maintaining their relationship with ownership, than actually caring for the tenants. They are teetering on negligent. Either that, or ownership is negligent.
Advice to owner:
Connect with your tenants. It’s obvious that you get reported to the city and have had issues with us in the past... show us you care about our well-being. Because we sure are paying enough for you to care. Taking minimal care of the building and ignoring tenants issues (the constantly broken laundry room, for instance) exemplifies someone who is just taking advantage. And just FYI, we see through that.

Nice building, poor management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has a beautiful entryway and the apartments are nice sized.
Cons:
I had multiple problems upon moving in that I was ensured would be fixed before my move in date. These problems included: splintered floors, no light covers, a broken bathroom sink, missing kitchen tiles, and other issues. Furthermore, I moved in during the height of the Pandemic and my apartment was not cleaned at all prior to me moving in. The most pressing issue has been that since April, I have had 8 or 9 different mice in my apartment. The first exterminator did nothing to help and it wasn't until I persistently followed up with maintenance and the building manager that the problem began to get resolved. I am leaving the apartment early because of the persistent mice issue that has never been fully resolved.
Advice to owner:
Please hold your supers more accountable for the work they do. The basement is gross and no one wants to go down there to throw out their trash or do their laundry. And your resident exterminator does not actually come to spray nor does he help with any issues inside the apartment. Also, it is important to communicate that the best way to get your problems resolved in the apartment is through maintenance on the app portal. Otherwise, texting the super does nothing.
