Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by Mike Spira indicate a deep dissatisfaction with management responsiveness and overall building maintenance. While some residents appreciate the attentive on-site superintendents, many report ongoing pest issues, leaks, and poor heat control, particularly in winter. Communication with the landlord is often cited as inadequate, with urgent repair requests frequently ignored. The buildings are described as having decent locations and friendly neighbors, but serious structural and cleanliness issues persist. Overall, potential renters should be cautious and prepared for potential management challenges.

Not cheap, but not jaw dropping

Pros

Split AC in bedroom and living room Nice modern shower Awesome super!

Cons

Pest control is hard to get a hold of (but super is responsive about the problem) Hard to talk to landlord directly Windows and doors not super insulated so energy costs are higher

Former tenant·5 minutes ago

Poor service and communication

Pros

Mostly clean and quiet

Cons

They are unresponsive to calls and emails. I have a rodent issue for months with minimal response and no help. There was a leak in my kitchen for 3 months, damaged countless supplies and utensils. When I moved in I wasn't able to get the gas turned on for the first 2 months.
