Review Summary for Sam Wurzberger
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of Sam Wurzberger's buildings reveal mostly clean and well-maintained properties with updated interiors and decent storage options. Tenants appreciate natural light, friendly neighbors, and convenient locations near transit. However, management responsiveness is often slow or inconsistent, requiring residents to be fairly self-sufficient. Heating can be unreliable and costly since it's typically not included, and noise from nearby schools or thin walls is noticeable. Garbage management and pest control are generally good, though some concerns remain. Overall, renters find the buildings livable and worth recommending but advise prospective tenants to temper expectations about prompt management support.

So painfully average
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good sunlight, large windows

Fully electric, insane con Ed bills, cheap appliances, cash grab, no more pre war charm left in any of the units.
Advice to owner:
Stop buying after market appliances, provide heat,

Good for NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
It's got a clean feel with great lighting and a clean feel. Rooms get light even though they face the next building -- so much light that I never have to turn on the lights during the day. 2 bathrooms which is great. Storage lockers and laundry in building are also great. Landlord is responsive relative to other landlords, but there is not live in super which means things take time as it is contracted out.
Cons:
Heat & hot water are not included -- expect a high energy bill in the winter. Landlord communication could be better - it takes time but ultimately we've gotten everything fixed that we needed to. 2 of the rooms don't have closets and one of the bathrooms doesn't have a window which breeds mold.

Pretty Good Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice building and apartment, repair requests are done quickly through online portal,
Cons:
Management will take forever to respond to anything, directly next to a school so you will hear noise from kids leaving school (not really a con but good to be aware)

Good Home, You're on your Own with Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Its a clean building, updated appliances, decent space and location, there is a basement storage room for every unit
Cons:
Management takes forever to respond or will not understand requests, listed as a true 4 bedroom however only 2 of the bedrooms have closets and there is no storage in the common areas
Advice to owner:
This is a great apartment, but be prepared to be pretty self sufficient

Good building + Location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Proximity to train station. Small building, so most neighbors are very friendly. Dual heating and cooling units plus updated appliances is great
Cons:
Walls are thin. Can constantly hear my neighbor blasting music. We are next to a school, so it is loud during school days after school lets out. Mail is also constantly getting put in the wrong boxes. Management company isn’t the best, but building keeper is very kind
