Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant reviews of buildings managed by MARINA TOWERS ASSOCIATES, LP reveal a mixed management experience. Positive aspects include generally clean and spacious apartments, friendly and helpful doormen, well-maintained amenities likepools, and responsive maintenance teams when engaged. However, many renters report issues with management responsiveness, particularly concerning rent increases, elevator outages, and slow or ineffective maintenance. Garbage and pest control management receive varied feedback, with some buildings struggling with cleanliness and pests. Noise from neighbors and construction is a recurring concern. High rent adjustments without flexibility during tough times and occasional rudeness from staff also affect tenant satisfaction. Overall, expect decent facilities but variable management engagement.

Great for what you pay
Former Tenant

Have to pay for pool use on top of amenity fee, not always a great response time from maintenance

Clean and big apartments
Former Tenant
Pros:
Big apartments, friendly and welcoming staff, clean premises, great location
Cons:
Apartment wasn’t cleaned before move in. The paint on the walls and some of the closet door and stuff is bit old and just painted over without too much effort. Elevators are been replaced which is causing a lot of delay for people to go up or down

Great for families
Former Tenant
Pros:
Being in a large apartment complex, you get all the amenities! The tenants are all really nice, the pool is great for the summer, and you are next to everything you need (food, errands, and exercise). There’s a maintenance team and they are somewhat responsive.
Cons:
Lots of families and pets. Not a bad thing, but screaming kids and the smell of dog pee isn’t great every time you leave your apartment.

No value for long time residents
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doormen are amazing, can't beat location
Cons:
Had many issues with leaks over the years resulting in floors being replaced multiple times. Management has no care for long time residents, actually is trying to get them up to market rate or get them out.

Nice location but overpriced
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great. Right next to the water.
Cons:

Don’t even think about moving here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location (until the BPC multi-year construction projects start next year). Square footage.
Cons:
Overpriced (jacks up prices as soon as your first renewal hits and keeps on going), poorly maintained, nonresponsive management, horrible multi-year elevator renovation that’s leaving people stuck and waiting 20 mins for an elevator sometimes
Advice to owner:
Grow a conscience

Really bad Leasing Staff
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good sized apartments
Cons:
Leasing staff completely lies about inventory, pricing, and negotiations. They also do not honor referrals. They're extremely rude. There is always a price to pay and amenities are never free
Advice to owner:
Fire your leasing staff - the manager & his employee were terrible. They owe my referral $500.

roaches and exorbitant rent
Former Tenant
Pros:
got a great deal on the rent initially when I moved in during the peak of pandemic
Cons:
Cockroach problem, did not resolve with exterminator visits - See pictures for just a small sampling of the dozens of examples. Rent continued increasing over 20% YOY multiple years in a row, no longer explainable post-pandemic and in light of pest problems. Obviously not luxury as advertised. I now live in a nicer building in the area for much less.

Bad Management company
