Clean great building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very clean building with updated amenities in the apartment
Cons:
Small apartments with little to no natural light
Advice to owner:
Respond to maintenance requests

Terrible landlords and non existent Property Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, good neighbors, good space and light
Cons:
The new owners have not cared about any of the tenants and have decided to not offer renewals so they can renovate units cheaply and hike up rent prices to market rate (bldg was rent stabilized until June 2022). They rarely respond to maintenance requests for small and big issues. They do not notify tenants in advance for inspections and currently we have a gas leak and no heat for probably 3-5 days in December.
Advice to owner:
Take care of your building. Respond to your tenants and stop kicking us out.

No problems, good location
Former Tenant

- Safe, clean, new appliances, renovated
Cons:
- loud (on first floor)

Don't live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice enough apartments though way overpriced (it's a regular apartment at luxury prices), neighbors are great but being pushed out
Cons:
Management is horrible. Takes months, even a year to fix things. Things get stolen in the building all the time. Pest problems that take months to rectify or tenants have to pay out of pocket. Raised everyone's rent by 15-25% after previous owner passed away

Property management company do not care about you
Former Tenant
Pros:
None, literally none.
Cons:
The list is too long but a few low lights are :
It’s damp, moldy, the ceilings are falling in, the lift (elevator)is risky to say the least and when it breaks it takes weeks to get it fixed, has an unresponsive management company, and finally the management company will randomly throw your doormats out for no apparent reason!

Great building, unresponsive management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is clean and newly renovated. The central heating/AC was a great perk. The gym and laundry room are both very nicely kept, and the roof is wonderful. Management was very responsive to service requests.
Cons:
For some reason, our heating bills were insanely high in the winter (>$400 month) because the building appeared to spike our electricity once an hour when the temperature outside went below 40 degrees, even when we were on vacation. This added a non-trivial expense to our rent.

The management for this building is quite unresponsive to non-service requests, and we were frustrated multiple times by lack of response to email or phone.

Finally, there was significant construction in the apartment above us that we were not warned about, which made working from home impossible on many weekdays for several months.

great location, mediocre building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, great neighbors, big windows with lots of sunlight.
Cons:
Noise. Atlantic Avenue is SO loud. Constant Ambulance and Fire Truck sirens crossing four lanes of traffic. LOUD.

Heat, hot water, and central air are all electric, so they will end up on your power bill ($200+/mo in deep winter and heart of summer).

great place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
amenities are great, gym, rooftop and super are all awesome
Cons:
small units for what you are paying. rent is extremely high for what you're getting in size of space
