Great Building and Management...CRAZY ELECTRIC BILL

Pros

Building is clean and maintained with respectful neighbors. Amazing location with train access and local restaurants.

ELECTRIC BILL IS CONSISTENTLY OVER $200!!!!! FOR NEARLY ALL UNITS!!!!!

Advice to the owners

This is a great building, but be prepared to spend more then what is asked. Hot water is not included, because you pay for the electric to heat the hot water.

Not worth dealing with management

Pros

The apartments have great bathrooms and the apartments have nice fixtures and details. I liked the layout of my one bedroom. Laundry is in the basement which is great when it’s working.

Cons

Honestly, I would advise you don’t live here. I’ve lived here several years and feel the general maintenance of the building has gone way down. The porter does his best but the super is unresponsive and does not take responsibility for anything. Things like repairs of the elevator, laundry machines, heating, and hot water heaters were major issues that were never dealt with promptly. The water heaters are electric and the building is extremely inefficient, resulting in costs of 100-300 dollars per month for electricity in a one bedroom. I found the management company to completely lack care for the tenants and I did not enjoy dealing with them or giving them thousands of dollars a month. At one point, packages were getting stolen multiple times a day and bikes were stolen twice out of the locked bike room. Management would not give camera footage to anyone and would not/did not change the door code for weeks despite multiple calls and complaints. It does not feel like management cares at all.

Advice to the owners

Respond to issues promptly, don’t act as though asking for the things we pay for is a bother to you. Take care of the building and help tenants figure out why HVAC and hot water heaters are constantly not working properly. Maintain the common areas and make actual fixes to things like laundry and elevator.
