Review Summary for Vintage Group, LLC
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Reviews of buildings managed by VINTAGE GROUP, LLC reveal a mixed management experience. Tenants often find apartments in desirable locations with features like in-unit laundry and decent layouts. While some appreciate responsive superintendents and generally clean units, many report slow or unresponsive property management, especially regarding pest control and maintenance issues, including heating and water problems. Common complaints include rodent infestations, package theft, noisy surroundings, and occasional unclean common areas. Rent increases without adequate renovations are also noted. Overall, prospective renters should expect a fair value housing option but may face challenges with timely management responsiveness and pest control efforts.

Terrible Place to Live
Former Tenant
Pros:
-close to union square, grocery stores and subways
Cons:
Property owner and leasing agents TERRIBLE to work with. Terrible, selfish people who are greedy and unhelpful. Michael Fine, the leasing agent and his team told my roommates and I they are purposefully rude to prospective tenants just because they can and don’t care. They kept on showing our apartment even after it was signed, just so they could collect application fees from people. They showed our apartment for over a week straight just to collect those application fees and didn’t care that they were having multiple open houses in our space. I got to the point where we had to tell the leasing agent that they need to stop showing our apartment because we knew that it was already taken. They are not communicative with current tenants that they are showing the apartment and inside to us that will just find out if there’s gonna be an open house or not depending on if they show up and we couldn’t plan our days because of it. The open houses would have like 40 people or more while we were trying to pack and leave the apartment. During our actual time at the apartment, the apartment was ok but the leasing officer Millie was extremely rude.

219 mulberry street - 2nd floor experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
-amazing location
-management does not give you a hard time about repairs, just can be difficult to schedule
-apartments are clean and updated
-no major problems with pests or mold (have just seen the occasional bug)
Cons:
-common areas are not always the cleanest (stairs)
-mulberry street side can be a bit noisy at night but my ac unit is usually enough to cover it
-they won’t let you add another name to the lease (even at renewal) so can be difficult to stay long term if you have a roomate or need flexibility. Also makes it more likely you’ll need a guarantor.
Advice to owner:
A virtual doorman would be great!
