Review Summary for Jordana Levine
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by Jordana Levine indicate a generally responsive and personable management style, with many appreciating timely communication and flexibility regarding lease terms and rent payments. The buildings often feature charming, older structures with unique layouts and strong community vibes among neighbors. However, some older buildings show signs of wear, including outdated heating systems, occasional pest issues, and maintenance areas like hallways and basements needing attention. Garbage management is mostly well handled, though recycling compliance could improve. Overall, tenants can expect attentive management focused on resolving concerns, though some properties may require updates for enhanced living conditions.

Great neighbors, old building
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are some great things about living in an old building - charm, bigger spaces, unique layouts and this building comes with that. Larger than average studios and an incredible building community.
Cons:
Because it is an old building you’re dealing with radiator heating, heating upstairs neighbors, and a pretty shabby hallway entry and dusty stairway. However, none of these issues are too bad.

Great aprtment with great neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
The ceiling! The Super. He found tiles on the street and updated my kitchen AFTER I signed the lease.
Cons:
The entry could use an update, but that's minor.

A priced slum
Former Tenant
Pros:
pleasant, helpful neighbors
Cons:
Hall and stairway carpeting needs replacement. Apartments are overpriced and in poor condition.
Heat is not always reliable.
Basement has dozens of small holes in walls that should have been filled. This allows mice and other rodents to enter apartments.
Advice to owner:
Stop making slapdash repairs. Use better contractors.
Find a better way to control heat, instead of the one you currently use.

Great landlord! Location can be a bit loud
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great landlords, always sweet and responsive. Located in the building so very easy to get a hold of unlike most NYC landlords. Beautiful apartments and clean cozy hallway.
Cons:
7th ave can be very loud for Park Slope. Appliances are old.

Great Landlord, some bugs
Former Tenant
Pros:
The landlords for this building are incredibly personable and responsive which is rare for New York landlords. If there’s a problem they’ll answer on a Saturday night to fix it.

The building is beautiful and has a ton of old charm to it. Overall it’s beautifully maintained and the landlords are also really flexible about what you need in terms of a lease or ability to pay rent.
Cons:
There is a roach problem in the building. An exterminator comes once a month which keeps them out of the units, but there’s still a good amount of them in the basement. The building could use some quality of life repairs that might help make it a less welcoming environment for them to be in.

The heat in the winter sometimes kicks off and the old windows let a lot of cold air in, I like the charm of the old school windows more than this bothers me but it could be an issue for some. No central air in the summer.

Hallway sometimes has a funky smell in it.
Advice to owner:
If you can, renovate the basement and take more measures to prevent roaches from coming up from the sewers in there.
