Review Summary for Midwood 11 LLC
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for MIDWOOD 11 LLC properties highlights significant management and maintenance challenges. While locations are praised for convenience and spacious units, renters frequently note poor building upkeep, especially cleanliness and pest control issues. Garbage management and hallway conditions often fall below expectations, with concerns about security and maintenance responsiveness. Long-standing supers seem overwhelmed, affecting service quality. Noise disturbances and package theft add to tenant frustrations. Despite some tenants appreciating the community and heat, overall reviews advise the landlord to prioritize timely repairs, improved pest control, clearer communication, and more proactive management to enhance tenant satisfaction and living conditions.

Typical rent stabilized slumlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, nice large units
Cons:
Management are awful to deal with, building very poorly maintained, the supers are under a huge amount of pressure and unable to keep up with their duties
Advice to owner:
A bit of maintenance, please!

It's an old building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent rent price, friendly neighbors, hands-off management (good and bad), basic necessities are there, large rooms in the apartment, good location.
Cons:
Run down, nothing is fixed until it HAS to be, super and porter are 80 years old (sad - they are lovely and sweet but they deserve better), garbage is usually left in the lobby hallway, there is a guy that smokes in the lobby often and management won't do anything about it, cosmetically run down, old fixtures and years of ignoring problems and fixing things shoddily. Elevator smells horrible most of the time, there IS pest control but I think they only came once during the 3 years we were there. I had multiple packages stolen from the lobby and management is unresponsive about most things. Security cameras don't work. The manager - Ned - is very elusive and won't ever say his own name to try and remain anonymous; same for the other manager, Anita. Rent went up about $80 per month per year while we were there. It's a fine apartment building for bare bones pre-war Brooklyn.
Advice to owner:
Listen to tenants when they say something needs to be fixed

Oy vey.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lovely neighbors, super kind super and handyman, convenient location in a great neighborhood.
Cons:
WARNING: Unless you are hard of hearing, or impervious to constantly loud bass music (literally every waking moment), I would avoid moving above or beside unit B10. They have driven out many tenants.

The building also had some issues with missing packages, the elevator smells like something died in it the entire time I've lived there, buzzer on the front door hasn't worked in months, and some residents don't know how to throw their garbage outside in the bins, instead of they pile it up in the hallway leaving poor Chico to clean up after them.
Advice to owner:
Listen to your tenants and put the slightest effort into maintaining the building.

Great location, can be noisy
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly neighbors, good light
Cons:
Not the best management, the supper although is friendly and helpful is really old and things get out of his hands
Advice to owner:
Work on your pest control
