Review Summary for Related Management Company, L.p.
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by RELATED MANAGEMENT COMPANY, L.P. reveal a generally positive management experience characterized by attentive, responsive, and friendly staff who maintain cleanliness and offer well-kept amenities such as gyms, pools, and doormen services. Tenants appreciate efficient maintenance handling and a professional concierge team. However, some properties suffer from aging infrastructure issues, including unreliable elevators, problematic laundry facilities, aging HVAC systems, and occasional pest control challenges. Complaints about high rent, occasional slow owner responsiveness, and noise levels in certain locations are noted. The company appears to prioritize tenant experience in many buildings but has issues with older properties where tenant concerns about management responsiveness and upkeep arise.

UES luxury building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Extremely responsive building staff, friendly doormen, impeccable facilities (gym, playroom, pool). In unit W/D.
Cons:
Location - a little seedy, 96th street is busy. Elevators often down.

Grateful to live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The view is incredible. Building management is responsive. The units are spacious and beautiful. Save from the resident complainers, most of the neighbors I’ve met are lovely and happy to be here.
Cons:
It can be hard to get off a waitlist for a bigger unit (eg, if you are in a studio and awaiting a 1 bedroom, or if you have kids and need to upgrade to a 2 bedroom).

Great place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lovely building, lovely apartment, great maintenance, great staff
Cons:
Apartments are small and can be dark, Related is very savvy about using pricing to hook you low and raise the rent quickly, is a little far west and the congestion on 30th is annoying now

Beautiful Place but Management Leaves Little to be desired
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful neighborhood. Pet friendly. Rooftop garden.
Cons:
“Terrible management. Unresponsive to tenant concerns, slow (or nonexistent) maintenance, and a complete lack of accountability. They prioritize profits over residents, making even simple requests a frustrating experience. If you’re looking for a landlord that actually cares, look elsewhere.
Advice to owner:
Treat all tentants fairly.

Great neighborhood and easy commute to midtown.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fantastic neighborhood with gorgeous views of Manhattan.
Cons:
Building elevator issues and laundry machines often broken. Mental health issues of a few tenets that make living at this building undesirable at times. .
Advice to owner:
Do a better job of cleaning the laundry room. Also have better machines that actually work. Better tenet selection to not allow dangerous and mentally unstable people from moving in. It is not fair to everyone else to live with unstable individuals.

Enjoyed living here for 3 years
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly front desk staff, hallways, trash rooms, gym, and all amenities were kept very clean. Unit had high ceilings and a lot of space for a studio unit. Gorgeous kitchen and modern appliances. Right next to Gantry park. Overall very happy.
Cons:
Strong cooking smells would waft into your unit.

Great apartment, neighborhood a work in progress
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Great concierge
- App-based key, thermostat, lights
- Nice views
- 1 min to High Line
- 5 mins to to the river park
- Equinox-equivalent gym
Cons:
- Hudson Yards still has construction ongoing. Far enough from 530 W 30, but worsens the vibes.
- Could hear previous neighbor’s TV/music, but to be fair they played things very loud.
- Max water temperature is somewhat low.
- Gym WiFi was bad for 2 years. New AGM got it fixed, but it sure took a while.
