slumlord watchlist alert
Former Tenant
Pros:
really nothing tbh
Cons:
The new owner of our building is #18 on NYC’s slumlord list (out of 100). They have successfully harassed many tenants into leaving so they can renovate the apartments and rent them out for way higher rent. They also are trying to do the same to me and have my apartment listed for rent without coming to an agreement with me to surrender the apartment

Good area but it needs better maintenance
Former Tenant
Pros:
We have many amenities and the building is well conserved
Cons:
Little maintenance in the common areas. Broken furnitures and garbage everywhere. Management takes a long time to reply.
Advice to owner:
Hire more people to take care of the common areas

No maintenance, filled with roaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice neighborhood to live in.
Cons:
They don’t maintain the building, it’s festering with roaches that are impossible to get rid of. It rained inside the apartment for weeks before the wall that was melting was half repaired. Nothing installed properly and unsafe. Plumbing leaks and scalding hot water out of the sink that is either freezing cold or burning hot, very difficult to get actual warm water. No fire escape. Wedged in between luxury buildings owned by the same property owner, I’m sure they maintain those, but they don’t maintain this property whatsoever. Illegal rooms without windows. Disgusting. Landlords are evil and do not care about you whatsoever. Months of landlord harassment.
Advice to owner:
Take care of your building and properly maintain it! Stop harassing tenants!
