Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews reveal mixed experiences with buildings owned by NYC 7900 HOLDINGS LLC. Tenants appreciate the location, neighbors, and some amenities but express dissatisfaction with heating control, noise levels, cleanliness, and unresponsive management. Major concerns include delayed repairs, poor garbage management, and challenging communication with the landlord. The ongoing struggle to retrieve security deposits and lack of landlord accountability paint a negative picture. Noise outside from construction across the street in two directions. Courtyard near garbage is a disaster and heaping piles everywhere. Basement is dirty and not well-maintained. Laundry facility in basement is not great to use with machines sometimes not working and no clean space. Heat is on too high and not controllable. Repairs are hard to come by and there’s no live in super.
Advice to owner:
Courtyard and basement should be renovated for better communal use. Response should be quicker and more thorough for repairs.

1.5 years since I moved out - still fighting for my security deposit back
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close proximity to restaurants
Cons:
Everything else - landlord does not care about his tenants. I have been trying to get in touch with management for over a year to receive my security deposit. They have not returned my emails and have been dodging my calls. I finally got the personal cell number of the landlord and he picked up and said “leave me alone” and hung up. What he fails to understand is that he has $2,300 of my money. I am not the only previous tenant having issues with “friendly associates”, and I know his previous brokerage stopped working with him due to his work ethic. I very highly discourage moving here unless you want to give away your hard earned money for no apparent reason.
Advice to owner:
Learn to treat your tenants with respect instead of your own personal bank

Nice Apartments But Building Needs Work
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice apartments. Some of them are renovated.
Cons:
The building could use some repairs and improvements. Machines are often broken in the laundry room.
Advice to owner:
Have someone make more frequent in person visits and be more responsive about fixing issues in the building like broken machines in the laundry and broken light fixtures in the lobby.
