Pros:
Location next to subway, parks, river, restaurants, banks, grocery store.
Super responds fast when needed Doormen are polite and friendly Laundry rooom is maintained well Garbage mgmt on each floor Compost bins in basement
A lot of ppl have lived in this bldg for a really long time so that speaks for itself. Once you live here, it will be hard to leave
Cons:
Issues with water bugs - bldg would be near perfect if this was under more control. Not all units have this problem. Two elevators - sometimes 1x is down but the wait it never too long.
Overall I would still recommend living here despite the small cons. It’s a beautiful hidden gem

Old, not well kept in certain areas of apartment No regular cleanings in public spaces Elevator breaks often and parts are rare so they said it took weeks to ship
Advice to owner:
Don’t keep increasing rent so much (only specific individual owners)

Amazingly located Prewar Doorman Building with Subpar Super

Pros:
The doormen are very nice and the location is incredible. Mainly smaller apartments with efficient layouts. No pets allowed
Cons:
The doors and walls are VERY thin. You can hear everything in the hallway and vice versa. Facing west, you can hear the concerts at the beacon theater. but not in a way that should deter you entirely.
