Reviews

Ok price for the area
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap for the area, next (c) openigloo to bus and citibike
Cons:
Right above a restaurant could (c) openigloo be a problem with roach (c) openigloo sometimes
Bad management, construction, roaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location and laundry
Cons:
Rodents, roaches, rarely cleaned, ongoing (c) openigloo disruptions from long-term construction (including (c) openigloo limited sunlight), selectively responsive management (c) openigloo that does less than the (c) openigloo bare minimum
Advice to owner:
Put in a little effort for all the money being thrown at you, abide by laws regarding security deposits and lease renewals
Don’t rent here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are nice. The neighborhood (c) openigloo is great.
Cons:
The trash is always a (c) openigloo wreck and causes rats. (c) openigloo the management company is unresponsive (c) openigloo and has tried to bully (c) openigloo tenants out of units so (c) openigloo they can increase rent. the (c) openigloo super doesn’t respond to messages (c) openigloo and has to be tracked (c) openigloo down in person. I have (c) openigloo heard other stories of the (c) openigloo management companies harassment and abusive (c) openigloo behavior. Roaches all over, asked (c) openigloo for a pest control person (c) openigloo to come via super and (c) openigloo never heard, Had to call (c) openigloo one myself. Updates have not (c) openigloo been made to the units (c) openigloo in years, appliances barely work, (c) openigloo things are cheaply made and (c) openigloo fall apart.
Advice to owner:
Be a better human.
Worst Management I have dealt with. Do not rent here.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors in this building (c) openigloo are really cool. I have (c) openigloo meet some lovely people. The (c) openigloo neighborhood is nice.
Cons:
The management company is a (c) openigloo joke. Not only is the (c) openigloo owner, Giro, very mean, but (c) openigloo he does not respond to (c) openigloo anything, ever. I also got (c) openigloo 4-5 calls from their office (c) openigloo stating I was behind on (c) openigloo rent and living with a (c) openigloo pet they didn't know about. (c) openigloo I was on a deal (c) openigloo with free months and disclosed (c) openigloo the pet, both were on (c) openigloo the lease. I dont know (c) openigloo why they couldnt seem to (c) openigloo find it or werent organized, (c) openigloo but I had to explain (c) openigloo this so many times. The (c) openigloo super never responds to messages. (c) openigloo I have had to track (c) openigloo him down in person to (c) openigloo get answers before and tried (c) openigloo to gaslight me into telling (c) openigloo me I'm using things the (c) openigloo wrong way (i am not). (c) openigloo I have had them lose (c) openigloo paperwork in the past (for (c) openigloo example, my literal lease), misplace (c) openigloo checks and claim they "never (c) openigloo got emails." The bug problem (c) openigloo here is astounding, I have (c) openigloo killed so many pests and (c) openigloo when I ask management for (c) openigloo help they ignore me.
Advice to owner:
Be responsive and be more organized.
Nice but mice
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice place generally, well managed, (c) openigloo and great location
Cons:
At least a few mice (c) openigloo live here, too, and the (c) openigloo buses on Broadway are surprisingly (c) openigloo loud if your bedroom faces (c) openigloo that direction—you know that beeping (c) openigloo they do when they stop? (c) openigloo It’s louder than you think (c) openigloo and continues all night, and (c) openigloo it will keep you awake (c) openigloo even from 4 or 5 (c) openigloo flights up.
Advice to owner:
Improve the windows facing broadway for soundproofing; check into a likely infestation of mice in one or more apartment’s
Not a safe place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments in the back (c) openigloo are quiet and light
Cons:
- There is a lot (c) openigloo of crime in the building (c) openigloo such as stolen deliveries and (c) openigloo the landlord refuses to take (c) openigloo any measures such as blinding (c) openigloo the front doors or installing (c) openigloo cameras.
Advice to owner:
- Make this a safe building
You'll never hear from them until they want to raise the rent
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, that's about it.
Cons:
First off, you will never (c) openigloo get an email response back. (c) openigloo I emailed them multiple times (c) openigloo over the course of my (c) openigloo time in the building and (c) openigloo didn't hear from the landlord (c) openigloo once until he tried to (c) openigloo raise my rent by $900. The (c) openigloo walls are paper thin, you (c) openigloo can hear whole conversations.
Advice to owner:
Respond to emails?
Decent price for a good location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location location location
Cons:
Old, falling apart, never even (c) openigloo met the super after living (c) openigloo there for two years, took (c) openigloo a long time to resolve (c) openigloo issues
Okay Buiding , heat and hot water issues, pm sucks
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, unit size, rent
Cons:
Super is lazy abs terrible Property (c) openigloo manager is rude and rarely (c) openigloo helpful Heat and hot water issues
Advice to owner:
Hire a better more responsive super, find a less rude property manager and fix the heat and hot water
Nasty and dirty
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quite safe and good air
Cons:
They don’t clean
Advice to owner:
Clean your building!
