Decent apartment in a great location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator, In unit W/D, dishwasher. All that you really need. Great location.
Cons:
Had a mouse and several cockroaches over the year, but nothing crazy. Trash chute was a bit small.

Ok price for the area
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap for the area, next to bus and citibike
Cons:
Right above a restaurant could be a problem with roach sometimes

Bad management, construction, roaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location and laundry
Cons:
Rodents, roaches, rarely cleaned, ongoing disruptions from long-term construction (including limited sunlight), selectively responsive management that does less than the bare minimum
Advice to owner:
Put in a little effort for all the money being thrown at you, abide by laws regarding security deposits and lease renewals

Don’t rent here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are nice. The neighborhood is great.
Cons:
The trash is always a wreck and causes rats. the management company is unresponsive and has tried to bully tenants out of units so they can increase rent. the super doesn’t respond to messages and has to be tracked down in person. I have heard other stories of the management companies harassment and abusive behavior. Roaches all over, asked for a pest control person to come via super and never heard, Had to call one myself. Updates have not been made to the units in years, appliances barely work, things are cheaply made and fall apart.
Advice to owner:
Be a better human.

Worst Management I have dealt with. Do not rent here.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors in this building are really cool. I have meet some lovely people. The neighborhood is nice.
Cons:
The management company is a joke. Not only is the owner, Giro, very mean, but he does not respond to anything, ever. I also got 4-5 calls from their office stating I was behind on rent and living with a pet they didn't know about. I was on a deal with free months and disclosed the pet, both were on the lease. I dont know why they couldnt seem to find it or werent organized, but I had to explain this so many times. The super never responds to messages. I have had to track him down in person to get answers before and tried to gaslight me into telling me I'm using things the wrong way (i am not). I have had them lose paperwork in the past (for example, my literal lease), misplace checks and claim they "never got emails." The bug problem here is astounding, I have killed so many pests and when I ask management for help they ignore me.
Advice to owner:
Be responsive and be more organized.

Nice but mice
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice place generally, well managed, and great location
Cons:
At least a few mice live here, too, and the buses on Broadway are surprisingly loud if your bedroom faces that direction—you know that beeping they do when they stop? It’s louder than you think and continues all night, and it will keep you awake even from 4 or 5 flights up.
Advice to owner:
Improve the windows facing broadway for soundproofing; check into a likely infestation of mice in one or more apartment’s

Not a safe place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments in the back are quiet and light
Cons:
- There is a lot of crime in the building such as stolen deliveries and the landlord refuses to take any measures such as blinding the front doors or installing cameras.
Advice to owner:
- Make this a safe building

You'll never hear from them until they want to raise the rent
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, that's about it.
Cons:
First off, you will never get an email response back. I emailed them multiple times over the course of my time in the building and didn't hear from the landlord once until he tried to raise my rent by $900. The walls are paper thin, you can hear whole conversations.
Advice to owner:
Respond to emails?

Former Tenant
Pros:

Cons:
