East Village delight
Former Tenant
Pros:
Safe, beautiful, easy laundry in building, easy to handle trash--wonderful and prompt maintenance
Cons:
No live-in super/property manager, so difficult to get response from property manager occasionally; had one or two roaches every now and then.

Nice building in the EV

Pros:
Lots of sun, kept clean, good trash system
Cons:
Waited too long to turn heat on in the building last winter
Advice to owner:
Lower rent

Bright but loud
Former Tenant
Pros:
South facing light is amazing. Can access the roof. Laundry in the building.
Cons:
The corner itself is not the nicest in alphabet city. Occasionally see a cockroach in the basement while doing laundry or taking out trash. Garbage pickup is very loud and is across the street from a noisy bottle drop.

Smelly carpet, stolen packages
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Online bill pay
- Landlord is pretty good about maintenance issues
- Renovated apartment
- In building laundry
Cons:
- Packages are regularly stolen
- Rent is far too high for what the apartment actually offers
-laundry is not good at all. The dryers are routinely broken and do not properly dry clothing at all.
- buzzer/door system is regularly broken and either always ringing or the second door is not locked
- Hallway carpets smell like mildew
- Street side apartments very loud. Across from key foods dumpsters and bottle exchange (a lot of truck noises and loud garbage truck disposal )
- Landlord does not have email? So you can only communicate via phone which is frustrating in 2020
Advice to owner:
- Remove hallway carpeting as it reeks of mildew
- set up cameras and security for constant stolen packages it’s become a huge problem
- replace both dryers they do not dry clothes at all
- either soundproof the windows or significantly lower rent it is way too loud with all the truck delivery services from key foods at all hours of the night
- offer your email address so tenants can contact you via email
