Good basic apartment, bad ameneties/management

Pros

Packages were rarely/never stolen, pretty well maintained overall. Apartment overall was safe and never heard too much noise from the streets. Trash would fill up easily but always taken care of.

Cons

Hot water would sometimes go out - especially in the winter. Bad repair / unhelpful - would take a while to get a hold of. Lost my keys once and didn't help at all at the time for getting replacement. Apartment gets super hot during winter.

Pros

The location of this well-maintained tenement building was what made me want to rent here. It was ideal to walk to Whole Foods or the Apple Store in SoHo, and the nightlife is second to none. The 1 BR had plenty of room to accommodate a roommate as well. If you love LES history, this is a great place to roost.

Cons

My unit was not rent stabilized, so I sadly had to leave after the unit became too much to afford.
