Great price & location but ongoing issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments on the back side of the building hardly get any noise from the busy street out front, and the block is very fun, especially during the past few summers when it has been closed to cars during the weekends.
Cons:
Property management is non-responsive (the super has been responsive and helpful though, just unable to address many of the issues we need property management response for). And there have been multiple pest issues both in our apartment and in the garbage area (inside the building, not enclosed)

East Village Charm
Former Tenant
Pros:
If you are an NYU student or desire to live in the east village the location is everything. Close down street during the summer weekends so there are no cars. Right next to Tompkins square park as well as many great bars and restaurants. Relatively close to the 6,4, and L trains. Despite not having modern appliances the apartments are well kept and in fair shape. The virtual doorman and locks work very well compared to other apartments systems. Young and old neighbors all very nice.
Cons:
There are mice and cockroaches, was told exterminator comes around once a month but have not received a knock on the door or notice. The location is a double edged sword - you can hear music all night long especially on the street side of the building. Water pipes run through the rooms in the building and make very loud noises. Walls are thin.
Advice to owner:
The upkeep in the stairwells could be better. Mud, dirt, and trash are often there for days on end. A more organized package

Do not recommend
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love the location
Cons:
Poor management response, poor quality of units, no outlets, pests, caving walls
Advice to owner:
Remodel units to at least be up to code and to respond to tenants timely
