Small but affordable in great location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Affordable apartments but small, amazing location
Cons:
Water damage in current apartment, can be difficult to manage heat temperatures

Not the worst not the best?
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great! Good location to the 6 train. Laundry in unit.
Cons:
The heat is insane. It’s hard to get building to reply to any issues. They act like any simple, bare minimum, should be expected ask is HUGE and so demanding. It’s loud. Also above a smoke shop so it smells a lot. Also the unit is so small and so expensive. No storage. Packages get stolen all the time!
Advice to owner:
Listen to tenants needs!

Not the best..
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location and people
Cons:
Constantly having packages stolen because the door never shuts correctly. *** Had a pipe burst in my wall (apartment 12 / they had known about a leak for 9 months) and water came through all outlets and lights. Owner refused to do more than plaster and paint over the wet walls. Lied about having an electrician out. Some outlets don’t work and lights flicker. Having to move because it’s unsafe and a high chance of mold in the walls. Property manager is a jerk! Made me promise not to let 311 in. Will not talk over email, only phone (sketchy).
Advice to owner:
Stop doing things the cheap way.

Heat blasts, it's like an oven in winter
Really loud street noise

Advice to owner:
Stop charging so much rent for such a tiny apartment with no closet or kitchen

Sketchy management, building could be maintained better
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great. Gets good light.
Cons:
Super is non-responsive. No one cleans the building halls and stairwell. Packages get stollen. It is sweltering hot in the winter as you have no control over the heat.
Advice to owner:
Respond to emails

Need to harass management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Honestly the only thing I can think that is great about the place was the price I got the apartment for because it was during Covid. They are updating the interior entrance and hallways but it’s taking forever and its bringing in bugs.
Cons:
In the first week of move in I had a couple major problems that I needed to harass the property manager about to finally get fixed. The water was insanely hot, and gave me burns, the entire shower needed to be opened up and replaced. For some reason he did not want to fix this and didn’t care I was getting burned. The oven temperature was completely off and could not be regulated so I needed a new oven which was also a challenge to get replaced. The washer an dryer is extremely loud and shakes the whole apartment and takes 6 hours to do one cycle, the energy bill is insane. There was a bed bug on the ceiling which did not come from my apartment and the property manager blamed me for bug. He is volatile and I would recommend talking straight to the land lord who is reasonable and wants to fix things. All the other apartments were supposed to get the bug treatment and they did not. The trash is downstairs in the entry and it is always overflowed. I saw a rat in the building in the trash and it ran out the back door which the super always leaves open for some reason. I asked him to close it because of the rat and he didn’t care. Of course there are roaches because of the this. I repaired every gap in the apartment after asking management to do it and they didn’t answer.
Advice to owner:
Understand that the building is old and needs to be protected better against bugs and kept clean.
