Great building, location getting worse
Pros
Layouts are spacious and very functional - studios with interior bedrooms are often over 1,000sqft with separate living areas and kitchens. Front desk staff is amazing and maintenance is ridiculously prompt, often coming within half an hour. Building generally is quiet although walls are thin so neighbors will make or break this. Lots of families. Gym is good enough and rooftop is great.
Cons
The area around it has gotten worse (although still fine) since gansevoort pier opened. This is NOT the building’s fault and the building is very secure. Just be aware that the homeless problem has gotten worse over the past couple years including some aggressive individuals. This is primarily concentrated towards the west side highway.
Advice to the owners
Zero complaints about the building. Would wholeheartedly recommend as one of if not the best options in west village.
Solid building and great staff
Pros
Unconventional layouts aren’t for everybody but it’s a converted factory so the apartments are all unique. Tall ceilings. Great views if facing west of river and sunsets. Staff is genuinely lovely; the doorman and porters and handymen are great people.
Cons
The building is old so the hardwood floors creak, nothing is level. The blinds are all slightly crooked bc window frame isn’t level either! The bathrooms are small and old. The kitchen cabinets are cheap.
Advice to the owners
Replace old AC units!!
