Tunnel Living Suffices
Former Tenant
Pros:
Has an elevator; Gas stove
Cons:
Super charged me a "deposit" for an extra set of keys and then didn't want to give it back when I moved out (tacky); Homeless man once slept and smoked cigarettes in the main entryway; Midtown tunnel is loud; Bathroom ceiling collapsed from water damage (did not have a shower for 5 days and was not compensated); Building made me leave the apartment multiple times in my last month to show it (during COVID), which was inconvenient
Advice to owner:
Building is not in good enough shape to forgo good polite treatment of tennants

First apartment in NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
- cheap rent - elevator - live in super - laundry in building - management company was relatively easy to get in touch with but could’ve been better - good area - quiet area (my apartment faced the back of the building) - monthly exterminator - could manually control heat so it didn’t get too hot or cold
Cons:
- small apartment - management company could’ve been easier to contact - saw some cockroaches in the apt even with having the exterminator come - water pressure could’ve been better
Advice to owner:
obviously my advice to anyone would be cheaper rent

#BEWARE!!!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
...THERE ARE NO PROS
Cons:
FILTH, GARBAGE, RATS, ROACHES, SINCE CURRENT SUPER WAS HIRED (#USELESS ) - KEPT •TOTALLY• DISGUSTING DURING PANDEMIC.....
Advice to owner:
....doesn’t matter-they don’t listen OR respond to any requests from tenants
Over 2 years ago
Not very clean, had bug problems
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, cheap rent for location
Cons:
Had roaches even though we kept our apartment clean (they have monthly exterminator but was still recurring issue), super does not keep lobby very clean, very hot in the summer, building management highly unresonsive and incompetent
Advice to owner:
Staff needs to be more organized or this place is going to turn into a true dump soon
