Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 150 West 58 Street, Manhattan highlight its unbeatable location near Columbus Circle and Central Park, with easy access to multiple subway lines. Tenants praise the friendly and helpful doormen and staff as well as spacious, well-lit apartments in a quiet building. However, many note persistent issues with pests, including cockroaches and rodents, partly due to the building's age and structural cracks. Management receives significant criticism for slow and unresponsive service, with complaints about maintenance delays, unresolved mold problems, and unreliable elevator service. Noise from nearby construction and street traffic also affects comfort. Rent is considered high relative to the market. Overall, the building appeals to those valuing location and staff kindness but renters should be wary of maintenance and pest challenges.

great location but lots of pests
Former Tenant
Pros:
fantastic location near columbus circle. can pretty much access any subway line within 5-10min walk
front desk people are fantastic
Cons:
we had a huge pest issue. largest cockroaches i've ever seen. we had exterminators come in a couple times and nothing worked. the problem was that the building is old and has a lot of cracks that need to be patched up
Advice to owner:
please listen to your tenants and patch up the units. it's unbearable to live in a space when you're constantly worrying about seeing new pests show up

Pros:
Quiet building. Close to all subways. Friendly staff. Decent place
Cons:
There were constant leaks (it’s an old building). I had mice in my apt, but it was quickly resolved.
Advice to owner:
No major suggestions. I enjoyed my stay. I would have stayed longer if the apartment was bigger
