Convenient location and in unit laundry

Pros:
The location is great and has in unit washer / dryer. Elevator is nice and the maintenance people are nice. Units were relatively recently renovated.
Cons:
Basement is absolutely abysmally disgusting. Tenants are lazy and pile trash in front of the elevators. Basement overflows with trash attracting rats and flies that spread through the whole building. Landlord doesn't return security deposit and management ignores all emails unless it's an urgent repair situation.

Well located building, with necessary amenities

Pros:
My place had laundry in-unit, as well as 2 baths. The place was is good condition. Building had functioning elevator.
Cons:
Front door was often left open, as the building shares a back entrance with a commercial unit in ground-floor. Inventory coming in and out daily.
