Not great but could be worse
Former Tenant
Pros:
One bedroom apartment for $2500. Quiet neighbors. Great water pressure. High ceilings.
Cons:
Poorly maintained. Weird layout. Shares garbage room with two restaurants and the smell reaches all the way to the upper floors at times (through the door). Floors are buckling and severely slanted. Stairwell is pretty gross.

Pests and uncleanliness
Former Tenant
Pros:
Near a grocery store and lots of food shops. The long time neighbors were better than the super.
Cons:
The staircase was extremely narrow and super easy to slip, which isn’t helpful if you live on the 4/5th floor. My apartment had a mouse and roach problem, but it seems like this is common for this building due to all the restaurants. The roaches weren’t tiny either, they were the giant, full sized ones that you see on the street. Thank god my cat liked killing them, but it was very hard to get rid of the mice (what we originally got the cat for due to landlord and super doing absolutely nothing, same with their exterminator, who literally just gave us glue traps).
Advice to owner:
Take care of the building and upkeep

Apt with issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lived in a unit facing away from the street and jt was pretty quiet, could barely hear the street. Heat was good. Was on the cheaper side compared to similar units when I rented
Cons:
Had mice and pests, floor boards were very damaged. Very unresponsive to the smaller issues like the toilet not working or a leaky sink. Toilet had issues and in the end we had to fix it ourselves because we got tired of waiting. Super Says someone is going to come over fix it and no one shows up at said time.
Advice to owner:
Just do the things you’re supposed to do.

Stay Away and look for something else
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location - that’s the only pro
Cons:
You may love this location but this building is horrible. Mice, roaches, peeling paint, smell of garbage. Landlord not responsive. Not updated. Stay away!
Advice to owner:
Upgrade and clean the building. Answer the phone!
