222 west 83rd
Former Tenant
Pros:
Some staff are nice
Cons:
Water pressure often not good Hot water out often Garbage is stored on the floor, outside of the apartment door, not in a bin No stair access from basement, only elevator

Good value on UWS, needs better pest control
Former Tenant
Pros:
The management was pretty responsive, there was a gas outage and the building had to upgrade all the lines. They did it relatively quick and offered both rent discounts and free appliances (instapots, etc) during update. The manager of the building would respond quickly to issues. Their rent increases were pretty standard and negotiable.
Cons:
There is a mouse problem. The wall in the kitchen communicates down through the basement and there is definitely a mouse problem in the basement feeding the rest of the building. The property owners exterminators were useless. We used our own
Advice to owner:
Manage the basement mouse problem better

Scaffolding up forever
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location; friendly doormen; prewar beautiful lobby
Cons:
Next to WiFi station (homeless ppl); has had scaffolding up for local law 11 repairs and maintenance since 2018 and no sign of speeding up the completion of this work; laundry room dirty and machines over priced; lacks storage or playroom
Advice to owner:
Finish up the exterior work and take down the scaffold already; increase cleaning staff during pandemic; allow tenants to rent storage space; lower price for laundry machines
