Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for 250 West 85 Street praises its prime Upper West Side location, secure and dog-friendly environment, and helpful doorman and staff. Apartments often feature charming, classic details like high ceilings, ample light, and good closet space. Residents value proximity to Riverside Park and convenient subway access. However, management is frequently criticized for slow or inconsistent maintenance, pest issues (especially roaches linked to water damage), and sharply rising rents, leading to concerns over value for money. Noise from street and nearby construction is noted, as is occasional unreliability of heat and water pressure. Overall, it appeals to those prioritizing location and community despite management shortcomings.

Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice staff and lobby, great location, convenient to subway; some beautiful apartments with nice floors, high ceilings, lots of closet space, beautiful natural light, easy temp control, good appliances, plumbing always worked, easy fixes were fixed quickly, no neighbor noise !
Cons:
Street noise was loud, even high up; persistent leaks following rainstorms- management tried to fix repeatedly but gave up; pests (roaches; never mice) come through cracks in the walls and ceilings from water damage.
