Building Report
Review Summary for 306 West 93 Street
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 306 West 93rd Street reflect mixed experiences. Tenants appreciate good garbage management, heating, and quiet neighbors. However, issues such as poor cleanliness, inadequate water pressure, noisy pipes, and pest problems have been noted. Some suggest updating window insulation and improving laundry facilities. While some praise the responsive owner, others criticize rent hikes during COVID. The building's age results in insulation and maintenance challenges. Despite positives like affordability and location, improvements in building maintenance and amenities are needed for a consistently positive living experience.

Overall good experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Mail handled well
Cons:
Building was built in the 1800s so windows are not well insulated. This means that the building does not keep AC inside during the summer causing high electric bills through Con Edison.
Advice to owner:
Update window insulation

You get what you pay for
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very reasonably priced, especially on a safe, tree-lined street. Close to subway. Super is friendly and responsive. Reliable trash/recycling removal.
Cons:
Water pressure in the shower is awful and the water temperature doesn’t remain consistent. The building is old; things are constantly breaking, floors are uneven, walls are thin, pipes are so loud. Laundry machines aren’t serviced, so clothes often come back with gross mildew stains. Basement/laundry area is infested with cockroaches. Oh and they raised rent during COVID.
Advice to owner:
Service/clean the laundry machines. Take care of the building.

The elevator can not work at times.
