Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 212 East 47 Street highlight a well-maintained building with exceptionally friendly, responsive management and staff. Tenants appreciate cleanliness, efficient maintenance, and strong pest control measures. The building offers good heating and reliable water pressure. Residents enjoy respectful neighbors and relatively quiet apartments, though noise from the Midtown area and non-soundproof windows can be noticeable. Some units receive less natural light due to surrounding structures. Crowded elevators and occasional street noise are minor drawbacks but overall, renters recommend the building for its excellent management and comfortable living environment in a central location.

Great building! Lovely management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management was incredibly kind and gracious and fixed issues quickly.
Cons:
Half of the building is north facing and surrounded by other buildings, so it gets less light.

Overall a nice building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very well maintained with nice amenities. All staff are friendly and responsive. We rarely hear much noise from neighbors.
Cons:
Neighborhood is often a bit noisy — we’ll hear yelling and traffic noise every day. But it’s midtown, so you get used to it.
