Frequent elevator issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
M15 SBS right outside the building.
Cons:
They rarely turn the A/C on in the hallways, and there is no A/C in the elevators. The laundry room is dirty, and the washing machines are constantly broken. The elevators are not reliable. Every few months FDNY is rescuing trapped tentant in the elevators.
Advice to owner:
Fix the elevators before someone suffers a medical incident while trapped inside one of them while waiting for FDNY to arrive.

Confused and poorly run
Former Tenant
Pros:
The doorman are phenomenal. They speak so many languages and have worked in the building for years. The apartments are pretty well updated and nice. Lobby is clean and things like electricity, heat, WiFi are included in your rent.
Cons:
The management has flipped hands/ownership names many times, with a lot of the same people just moving from one company to another. The building is confused. It’s part hotel, part long term residential and part short term. The turn over is incredible and people are always coming in and out. Even though the engineer and doormen are great, management can’t stay organized or ever help when something goes wrong. I was longest tenant in the building and when I moved from building, they couldn’t find my security deposit. Took us 4 months and a small claims case to get it back. Perhaps biggest downside is the restaurant on the rooftop. The music is so loud, most people can hear it in their apartment until 1/2am, and the lobby is packed with tourists and crowds who are looking to go clubbing, and they share an elevator with residents. Was so sad to see a historic landmark turned into something so trashy. It had so much potential :(
Advice to owner:
Get rid of the restaurant or make the entrance separate from where residents reside.
