Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 401 East 60 Street praise the building’s attentive doormen, concierge, and well-maintained lobby, rooftop, and gym. Apartments are noted for modern appliances and strong water pressure. Many tenants value the quiet environment and friendly neighbors. However, there are consistent concerns about property management, citing unresponsiveness, rudeness, and rent overcharging issues. Heating and cooling systems receive mixed feedback, with some units uncomfortable. Pest control is generally good but isolated roach sightings were reported. Tenants suggest improvements like kitchen exhaust hoods, better communication, and enhanced management training to elevate the living experience. Overall, the building remains attractive despite management challenges.
