Decent apartment -6.5/10
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are several things broken when we moved in, but everything got fixed very quickly and management was very responsive and good about sending people.
Cons:
We had nonstop roaches in our bathroom, shower drain since we moved in. We are very clean people and we would get the monthly pest control offered, but it would not keep them away from more than a few days. I recognize it’s New York City so pests can be everywhere. I also did not like how the garbage was stored inside next to the stairs if it were outside, there would be fewer pest problems.
Advice to owner:
Put the garbage outside.

Amazing apartment HORRIBLE management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is gorgeous, amazing neighborhood. Overall cleanliness is great and the super is responsive
Cons:
Fuck AJ real estate. There is a special place in hell for Angela Cronk. She is completely useless and when she does respond she only uses one word and does not answer the question you asked. It is almost impossible to get in touch with her. She just leaves you in the air. Hot water was a constant issue but eventually it was resolved.
Advice to owner:
Treat your tenants like humans

if you love mice, cockroaches, and terrible management, please live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
good location in UES
Cons:
AJ Clarke is a terrible management company that does not act on legitimate complaints. You have to nag them in order to get anything fixed. -The owner will raise the rent on you 50% at the end of your lease. -There are cockroaches in the lobby and stairs every week. I had a rodent problem that lasted over 6 months. -Extremely thin walls and floors with disrespectful, loud neighbors.
