RENTER BEWARE CHEAP CHEAP LANDLORD
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the park, old charm, three bedroom
Cons:
EXTREMELY LOUD STREET NOISE, Old windows that are paper thin, cheap landlord won’t update windows thus you hear EVERYTHING OUTSIDE and expect huge electric bills as heat is overwhelming and AC units are needed. Landlord doesn’t take care of the building! Filthy common areas and stair wells, main lock to building is very faulty and difficult to use - huge problem for families with little kids, old intercom that is faulty. Basement storage areas are filthy. Whatever is cooked in unit below will stink up unit above. Landlord ignores all emails unless extremely severe issue.
Advice to owner:
UPDATE THE WINDOWS! If you are going to charge market rates then you need to provide a fair product. Clean the building not while it down, scrub it, fix the stair windows, replace the second entrance lock! It’s unsafe for families that cannot get in if they need to do so quickly.
