East Harlem holdover
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is AMAZING. Very helpful and responsive. Many longtime residents are friendly and keep to themselves, are respectful. Renovated units are rather spacious.
Cons:
Walls are PAPER thin. I lived next to a neighbor who is simply a VERY loud and disrespectful neighbor — entering/exiting his apartment at all hours of the day/night with a door slam, unbelievably loud music/TV and singing, loud phone calls and having arguments on the phone, and sounds like pots and pans clanging at all hours of night. There is a loud echo in the hallway, so when people are talking loudly it awakens the dogs in the building to simply bark for long stretches. The noise is the primary reason I am moving. Management does nothing to improve the noise.
Advice to owner:
Enforce noise policies - it is out of control.
